I don’t know how your week has been but, my week has felt never ending! With the heartbreaking aftermath of Hurricane Matthew on our coast, attempting to get back to “normal” has been quite the struggle. But there’s good news! X102.9 Jacksonville’s New Alternative is treating us to a show featuring Finish Ticket as an amazing break away from the chaos and kick our weekend off right!
I got the chance to see Finish Ticket at X102.9’s Rock on the River 7 in June. I had such a great time that I knew anytime they decided to come back to Jacksonville, I would not miss it! They put on a show so vibrant and energetic that even if you had no idea who they were, you were bouncing and dancing along to their hits like “Color”, “Wrong”, and “Tranquilize.” Not only were they brilliant, they were extremely kind hanging back after their set to talk and take pictures with their fans. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us tomorrow night at Jack Rabbits!
Not only am I looking forward to seeing headliners Finish Ticket, these opening bands are going to be bringing it too! Run River North killed it on the big stage at X102.9’s recent Connection Festival with loads of oomph, getting the crowd pumped for the day ahead as the lead singer ditched the stage to be with the crowd as he sang and jammed on tambourine! Though I haven’t experienced Iron Tom yet, I am looking forward to what kind of energy they will be bringing to the stage!
Getting back to “normal” may not be the easiest task but, after a night with Finish Ticket we will be well on our way! With this combination of wonderful music and kind hearts, it will be effortless for Jacksonville’s music lovers to let loose, unwind, and forget about our problems for this one night full of entertainment!
